Aqaba chalet prices: what a night actually costs

Aqaba chalets cost roughly 25 to 215 JOD a night for the whole property, and most of what we found sits between 55 and 110 JOD. A small furnished apartment in the city starts at 25 to 55 JOD. A two- or three-bedroom chalet or apartment near the water runs 55 to 110 JOD. A standalone villa, or a beachfront apartment in Ayla, runs 140 to 215 JOD. These are figures observed on real listings in July 2026, not estimates.

YallaChalet tracks Aqaba's chalets and furnished apartments in one place, and this page explains the number instead of leaving you to assemble it from dozens of classified ads. Aqaba is a full coastal city on the Red Sea at Jordan's southern tip, not a chalet strip like the Dead Sea, and it prices differently because of it.

Aqaba chalet prices, as observed

Aqaba chalet prices observed in July 2026 start at 25 JOD a night for a furnished studio in the city and reach 215 JOD for a standalone villa. The figures come from listings live on booking platforms and Jordanian classifieds; anything quoted in dollars was converted at the fixed peg, 1 USD ≈ 0.71 JOD, and rounded to the nearest dinar.

Unit What you rent Price per night
Studio or one-bedroom apartment in the city The whole property 25 to 55 JOD
Two- or three-bedroom chalet or apartment near the water The whole property 55 to 110 JOD
Beachfront apartment in Ayla or Tala Bay The whole property 140 to 210 JOD
Standalone villa or chalet with a garden The whole property 140 to 215 JOD
Hotel or hotel-apartment room downtown One room 30 to 45 JOD

To make that concrete: a two-bedroom furnished apartment in Aqaba's eighth district was advertised at 25 JOD a day, and a three-room, 100 m² chalet in the chalet district at 100 JOD. At the top end, Red Sea Pearl Luxury Villa (4.8 out of 5 from 20 Google reviews) showed at about 142 JOD a night, and an Ayla beachfront apartment at about 210 JOD.

And note that a 30 JOD hotel room is not cheaper than a 90 JOD chalet. You are buying two different units: one priced by the room, the other by the whole property. That is the single thing that confuses people comparing Aqaba prices.

What actually moves the price

Day of the week, by a wide margin. The average weekend night in Aqaba was about 76 JOD in July 2026 against 37 JOD midweek. The same unit roughly doubles on Thursday and Friday, because Aqaba is a four-hour drive from Amman and nobody makes that trip for a Monday night.

Location, specifically Ayla versus downtown. Ayla sits about three kilometres north-west of the city centre; Tala Bay is 14 to 15 km south along the coast road. Units inside those two developments price two to three times a same-sized unit in central Aqaba, and what you pay for is the private beach and the marina, not floor area.

Season, and it runs the opposite way to what people expect. Domestic demand for Aqaba chalets peaks between June and August despite coastal temperatures above 38 °C, and bottoms out in February. Jordanian searches for Aqaba chalets in July run close to six times the February figure, which is why the cheapest nights fall in deep winter rather than in summer.

Capacity and bedrooms. Every extra bedroom raises the nightly rate and lowers the cost per head. One-bedroom apartments in the city ran 35 to 53 JOD, while multi-bedroom units in the same city ran 93 to 110 JOD.

Pool and view. A private pool, a jacuzzi or a direct sea view all move the number visibly. And in an Aqaba summer the air conditioning deserves an explicit question before you compare two prices, because a unit that cannot hold temperature in August is unusable at any price.

Are you renting a property or a room?

A chalet or furnished apartment in Aqaba is priced as a whole property, while hotels and hotel apartments price a single room: 30 to 45 JOD downtown, 75 to 95 JOD in the Tala Bay resort residences. Aqaba's stock leans towards hotels and hotel apartments more than any other area in Jordan, which is what makes its numbers hard to read at a glance.

For a group of eight, a 110 JOD chalet works out at about 14 JOD a head. The three hotel rooms that same group needs at 40 JOD each come to 120 JOD, with no kitchen and three separate doors. That is where a chalet flips the maths, once you are past two or three people.

One more thing you will hit in the search results: prices for "Public Security" or "Armed Forces" chalets. Those are institutional resorts reserved for members of those services, on their own rate card, and they do not represent the open market. One was listed at roughly 78 to 89 JOD for mid-August 2026 nights, which is a resort number rather than a private chalet number.

How to pay less in Aqaba

  • Go midweek. This is the biggest saving available, close to half on the same unit.
  • Move two kilometres back from the private beach. A unit in central Aqaba costs about half its Ayla equivalent, and the public beach and the snorkelling are minutes away by car.
  • Split a bigger unit. Two families in a 150 JOD chalet pay 75 JOD each, less than two mid-size apartments.
  • Book summer early. Domestic demand peaks June to August; January and February are the months where the price is negotiable.
  • Ask for the final total in writing. Many Aqaba listings publish no price at all and settle the number over WhatsApp, so ask about the deposit and the cleaning before you pay anything.

Common questions

How much does a chalet in Aqaba cost per night?
Between 25 and 215 JOD a night for the whole property, based on listings observed in July 2026. A small furnished city apartment runs 25 to 55 JOD, a two- or three-bedroom chalet 55 to 110 JOD, and a standalone villa or a beachfront apartment in Ayla 140 to 215 JOD.
Is the price per person or for the whole chalet?
A chalet or furnished apartment is rented as one unit per night, whatever the headcount within its capacity. Aqaba's hotels and hotel apartments price the room instead, which is why a hotel looks cheaper in the listing and gets more expensive the moment your group needs three rooms.
How much is a chalet in Ayla, Aqaba?
Ayla beachfront apartments were the most expensive thing we observed in July 2026: 140 to 210 JOD a night, against 25 to 110 JOD for comparable-sized units in the city. The gap buys direct beach and marina access, not extra space.
Why are weekend prices higher in Aqaba?
Thursday and Friday are Jordan's weekend and Aqaba is about four hours from Amman, so those two nights book first. The average weekend night in Aqaba was around 76 JOD in July 2026 against 37 JOD midweek, roughly double for the same unit.
Are there extra fees on top of the advertised price?
Through YallaChalet there is no booking commission, since you agree the price with the owner directly. Some owners ask for a refundable deposit or charge for extra cleaning, and many Aqaba listings publish no price at all and leave the number to WhatsApp. Ask for the final total before you pay any deposit.
