About this chalet
Set on a broad sandy plain in Wadi Rum, the camp sits beneath towering red sandstone formations that dominate the horizon. A few low stone buildings mark the entrance and provide shaded spots, while an open parking area hosts several pickup trucks and off‑road vehicles close to the main gathering space. Inside the Bedouin-style tents, striped red fabric lines the walls and simple beds with blankets sit beneath small windows overlooking the desert. The layout is straightforward and practical, focused on basic comfort rather than luxury. Tire tracks cross the sand and short walks from the camp lead directly to dramatic cliffs and wide vistas; sunsets paint the rocks in warm golds and oranges during late afternoon. The camp is best experienced by visitors arriving with vehicles — there is clear vehicle access and on-site parking — and it provides an unadorned, peaceful base for enjoying Wadi Rum’s natural scenery.
