Desert Dream Camp
About this chalet
Set right on the sands of Wadi Rum, the camp sits among dramatic rock formations and an accessible natural arch. The sleeping spaces are simple, curved tents lined with patterned fabric and floor rugs, each furnished with basic beds, pillows and thick blankets for cooler desert nights. Small windows frame the desert vistas and a single hanging bulb provides indoor light. Low stone steps mark the tent entrances and the sandy ground leads directly up to each doorway; there are modest plastic chairs and practical furnishings rather than luxury trappings. A Toyota pickup with seating in the rear is parked near the camp, indicating local four-wheel access to the surrounding terrain. Wide horizons and intense sunset colours define the view, making evenings at the edge of the camp particularly striking. Overall the place is utilitarian and authentic, designed for close contact with the red sand, rock arches and the open sky of Wadi Rum.
