Omar s camp parking
About this chalet
A desert camping spot set deep in Wadi Rum where striped black-and-white tents sit on low stone platforms, each with a small paved terrace, wicker chairs and a bedside lantern by the entrance. Large sliding glass fronts open onto sweeping views of sand and distant rock formations; some tents have tiled floors layered with rugs and low bedding for a practical, comfortable feel. The central communal tent is traditionally decorated with patterned textiles on the ceiling and long low seating around a central wood-burning stove, with plates and cups laid out for shared meals and even a hookah visible. From the site short paths lead into the surrounding sandstone—arches, cliffs and viewpoints for sunrise and sunset walks. A parking area and entry signage sit close by, making the camp feel like a sheltered base from which to explore the desert. Overall the place emphasizes simple comfort, communal warmth from the fireplace and unobstructed views of the Wadi Rum landscape.
