Desert shine camp
About this chalet
A desert camp set against the red rock of Wadi Rum with wide, open views across sand and stone. Small, fabric-clad cabins sit in a row, each with a sliding glass door leading out to a modest terrace furnished with wicker chairs for watching the desert. Inside the cabins the feel is cozy and traditionally Bedouin, with patterned fabric walls and a made bed facing the landscape. A large communal dining tent lined with low tables and floor seating hosts gatherings; a central heater stands ready for warmth and evening conversation. A stone fire ring outside is used for nightly fires and for cooking on open flame, which visitors often mention alongside the team’s cooking and dinner service. Camels and local guides are part of the nearby scene, making short excursions from the camp straightforward. Overall it’s a simple, comfortable desert base for sunsets, stargazing and shared meals around the fire with attentive staff.
