About this chalet
Set in the red sandstone of Wadi Rum, the camp sits among dunes and rocky outcrops with wide desert views and a clear starry sky at night. Traditional Bedouin tents and simple sleeping mats are arranged directly on the sand, and camels rest nearby, reinforcing the authentic desert atmosphere. A large geodesic dining dome provides a comfortable indoor dining area with tables, a buffet setup and visible air-conditioning units that keep the space cool. Evenings gather around an open fire pit in a stone courtyard, with colored lighting on the rock faces creating a warm, social ambiance. Short walks and climbs to surrounding rocks offer panoramic viewpoints over the valley and dunes. Vehicles can approach the camp and there are areas used for parking on the sand. The camp mixes basic but organised meal facilities and sheltered dining with wide, natural views suited to stargazing, photography and gentle exploration of the desert landscape.
